Job Description
Project Kuiper is Amazons low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast reliable internet to customers and communities around the world and weve designed the system with the capacity flexibility and performance to serve a wide range of customers from individualhouseholds to schools hospitals businesses government agencies and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.
The Quality Team at Project Kuiper is looking for a Quality Inspector to join our team and help perform critical inspection duties within our Manufacturing Quality organization.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop Standard Operator Procedures (SOPs) for other inspectors to follow for day-to-day tasks.
- Manage the MRB and Harvesting process.
- Perform the In- process inspection Audits and containment. Use SQL / Python for data analysis for reoccurring task.
- Perform Inspection activity using sampling plans and metrology equipment such as Vision system Romer Arms micrometers calipers height gages calipers micrometers gages etc.
- Support quality engineering team for special projects.
- Involved root cause investigation and corrective actions activities.
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.
The starting pay for this role in Washington State is up to $42.00/hour and employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure. A full range of medical financial and/or other benefits are provided. This information is provided per the Washington State Pay Transparency Act. Base pay information is based on market location. About the team
The Kuiper Manufacturing Quality team is driven to develop a Kuiper Quality System that is capable of scaling aerospace quality to volume and cost levels to meet end customer needs. This position will join the team at an exciting moment with an opportunity to own quality system development and contribute to the design of requirements processes and systems used across the business. We value data driven decision making a comfort with dealing in ambiguous situations across multiple projects and an ability to earn trust of various stakeholders to deliver high quality results.
- 2 years experience as a Quality
- 2 years experience reading/ interpreting Engineering Drawings or schematics
- 2 years experience in using hand measuring tools. i.e Height gauge Calipers Micrometers.
- Mechanical / Industrial/ Quality Background
- Experience reading sampling tables to ANSI/ASQ ZI.4 for established AQL levels.
- Experience leading inspection teams and running daily 5S activities in quality areas.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $81120/year in our lowest geographic market up to $87360/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
