C/C Programmer Legacy Systems & Mainframe Support
About the client:
Our client is a global consultancy supporting mission-critical systems across government and enterprise environments. This role focuses on maintaining and optimising legacy C/C applications hosted on mainframe and Solaris platforms.
About the role:
We are seeking a C/C Programmer with strong experience in legacy application support and system optimisation. Youll be responsible for maintaining mainframe-hosted applications resolving incidents and contributing to system improvements in a 24/7 support environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and optimise legacy C/C applications on mainframe/Solaris platforms.
- Conduct testing and provide end-user support for legacy systems.
- Perform in-depth analysis and resolution of problem tickets.
- Monitor system performance and tune applications for stability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and provide technical guidance.
- Support operational alerting automation and continuous improvement.
- Participate in Agile practices including JIRA Confluence and Kanban.
Required Experience:
- 35 years of experience in C/C development.
- Strong understanding of mainframe environments and middleware.
- Experience with XML/XSLT and batch processing technologies.
- Familiarity with automation using REXX.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and NWoW practices.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Australian Citizenship.
- AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance (or ability to obtain).
