We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the East Suffolk Councils Housing Team as a Damp and Mould Inspector.
Your role:
Removing sources of damp and mould is a key area of focus for us to ensure all our homes are safe suitable and sustainable. This role will focus on inspecting reporting and identifying damp and mould issues in our housing stock by undertaking inspections of maintenance defects identifying suitable remedial actions and the extent of work necessary to rectify or improve any damp or mould issues. For this role you need to be proactive in addressing defects that could contribute to damp and mould and also be able to analyse data that can contribute to future plans of works to address damp and mould reporting.
What you will need:
You should have a minimum of 3 years experience of a working in a Building Maintenance environment with a NVQ (or BTEC Level 3 or equivalent) in one or more building related disciplines. You should have a good understanding of Building Regulations with the ability to read understand and utilise scaled drawings such as plans and technical drawings.
You will also be able to communicate effectively with tenants colleagues and contractors be able to highlight areas of poor performance identify improvement criteria and deal with difficult situations in a calm and professional manner.
