Job Description

The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Ontario is a provincial association committed to improving services and support for individuals living with mental illnesses and addictions issues and to the promotion of mental health in Ontario.

Job Summary


Reporting to the Chief Development Officer the Interim Fund Development Database Administrator is responsible for all aspects of fundraising coordination and administration and ensuring that all fundraising records are maintained properly completely and accurately.

Core Responsibilities

  • Maintain the integrity of Raisers Edge database while ensuring privacy rights of donors are monitored at all times.
  • Coordinate data entry and coding of prospects donors volunteers subscribers Raisers Edge database.
  • Act as the primary contact with service providers in the execution of digital direct mail and other direct marketing programs.
  • Reconcile Raisers Edge database with received revenues and provide the Finance Department with the necessary information to prepare journal entries and bank deposits.
  • Generate lists and reports from Raisers Edge database as required.
  • Maintain up-to-date donor/volunteer recognition lists for newsletters websites annual reports and other stewardship purposes.
  • Maintain mailing lists in Raisers Edge database and liaise with the mailing house.
  • Arrange trainings and tutorials for new users of Raisers Edge database.
  • Coordinate gift processing operations and procedures and produce thank you letters and donation receipts on a timely basis.
  • Coordinate electronic and paper file records pertaining to prospects donors volunteers subscribers etc. as required.
  • Provide administrative support to the Fund Development department activities as required.
  • Execute data extraction segments for direct mail appeals and for prospect list trading with other organizations as needed.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven work experience in an administrative support position or similar role.
  • Experience with data management and analysis at a charity or non-profit organization.
  • Excellent working knowledge of standard office technology and software applications like MS Office (Word Excel Access PowerPoint Outlook)
  • Superior working knowledge and experience with Raisers Edge and/or Salesforce.

Salary
Hiring Rate: This position pays between $34.09 and $35.11 per hour.


The salary grid for this role ranges between $34.09/hour at Step 1 and $38.33/hour at Step 5. The initial salary offered for this position is anticipated to fall between Step 1 and Step 2 of the salary grid as posted above as the hiring rate.


The successful candidate will be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package that includes pension through HOOPP life health and dental insurance exclusive paid time-off and opportunities for professional development.

Working Conditions


This is an interim temporary position for a period of 3 months working 3 days/week (21-hours/week) in office. This position is based in Toronto Ontario and may require regular travel.


This position is also a desk job with extended periods of sitting reading telephone/virtual interaction and working at the computer. This position involves some moderate lifting shipping and handling. Attendance at various meetings throughout the workday/workweek will be required; meetings may occur on short notice depending on the circumstances.


This position is within the OPSEU Bargaining Unit.

As a condition of employment the successful candidate will be required to maintain and submit proof of full COVID-19 vaccination.
