IT Governance Lead Specialist

Job Description:

This position is open to be filled at any of the Astemo locations in United States.

Position Summary:

Astemo Americas Inc. is a Tier 1 supplier of automotive systems for automotive and non-automotive applications. The IT Governance Lead Specialist is responsible for supporting company goals and objectives related to the IT Governance framework. This is a corporate / regional position located within the AM Region reporting into the Farmington Hills MI location.

Essential Functions and Duties:

• Evaluate and maintain IT policies and procedures
• Perform IT risk management activities including risk analysis development of core controls and mappings to specific audit requirements
• Perform internal IT control checks as needed
• Provide support and facilitation for required IT audits (J-Sox Hitco 2 parent company audits etc.) including but not limited to:
  • Auditor communication & coordination of audit activities
  • Process mapping and owner identification
  • Evidence collection/organization review & evaluation
• Coordinate and centralize IT audit findings and improvement opportunities including coordination of tracking of remediation activity
• Reporting of results to leadership
• Perform IT process evaluations to facilitate process optimization to support structured and efficient IT operations
• Investigate suspected improper activities as assigned
• Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and integrity in all activities
• Other tasks and duties as assigned

• Ability and desire to develop comprehensive understanding of overall IT model (operations infrastructure business systems security administration and governance) including how each interacts
• Ability to travel to support regional initiatives
• Must operate with high degree of honesty confidentiality and integrity

Education: Bachelors degree applicable certification(s) or equivalent IT Governance or technical field experience. Working knowledge of Automotive manufacturing environments desired.

Experience: 5 years working experience desired in IT Governance Engineering or related field including but not limited to:

• IT Governance (policies and procedures risk management and internal control)
• IT Operations Concepts
• Auditing Operations
• Risk Mitigation
• Process Mapping and Optimization
• Root Cause Analysis & Deficiency Remediation
• Change Management

Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A

Working conditions:

Physical Demands: Required to sit or stand for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Travel: Domestic and international travel may be required.
