The General Manager Service Delivery (SD) will support Kyabras mission to contribute to the creation of fair safe and inclusive communities by providing and supporting management practices and activities that lead to the highest standard of service provision across all service areas.
This role will lead the Service Delivery team inclusive of all service area Managers and provide them with support and leadership in relation to line management and service delivery. This position will apply organisational principles and values towards the development and implementation of management practices and will work in partnership with service area Managers and staff to develop practices that meet internal and external requirements while providing high quality services.
This role will act as a key member of the Organisational Management Team and lead the Service Management Team while providing support in developing and driving the overall strategic direction of the organisation.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Qualifications & Training
- Tertiary qualification (bachelor degree or higher) in a Human Services and/or other relevant field
Skills Knowledge & Experience
- Demonstrated experience in senior leadership roles within community service environments.
- Demonstrated leadership skills including experience and training in the management of human service organisations and the ability to both lead and work as a member of a team.
- A demonstrated ability to manage a human service program including staff management administration and financial management.
- Experience in or the ability to acquire skills in the provision of family-centred and solution-focused approaches to service delivery and development.
- Demonstrated experience and skills in strategic/operational planning and evaluation at both a service and organisational level.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation within the Human/Community Services sector.
- Understanding of and commitment to the principles of social justice as well as a demonstrated capacity to work in ways that focus on peoples strengths.
- Cultural competency including a demonstrated understanding of and experience with working in ways that are inclusive of people from CALD or otherwise diverse backgrounds.
- Strong communication interpersonal and organisational skills and a collaborative approach to management.
History Checks & Clearances
The successful applicant will be required to apply for certain mandatory Personal and Criminal History Checks. This position is required to hold a satisfactory/positive result for the following:
- Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- LCS2 (Personal and Criminal History Check)
- NDIS Worker Screening
Note it is an offence for a disqualified person to sign off on a Blue Card application form.
Desirable
- Experience in non-for-profit organisational management as well as government procurement and funding models.
- Demonstrated understanding of issues/barriers facing community members including ways to resolve or improve these issues.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of client management systems and the ability to rapidly learn new systems and/or other databases.
- Knowledge of financial/social support systems available to the community.
