Job Description

The Associate Dean supports the School of Workforce Training (WFT) through innovative collaborative and student-focused leadership to help shape the future of student success academic excellence and community impact at GRCC. The Associate Dean of the School of WFT is responsible for the management and day-to-day operations including programs in Job Training Workforce Training Customized Training Construction Electrical Apprenticeship and Grants. The Associate Dean of the School of WFT will foster a working environment that demonstrates a spirit of collaboration innovation access and inclusion. The successful candidate will be a strategic leader with strong organizational skills and a deep understanding of and experience with education in WFT. The Associate Dean will work in cooperation with Program Managers to develop class schedules determine instructional workloads and support the implementation of the curriculum development process. This role also provides leadership and oversight of faculty professional development evaluations and tenure and promotion activities. To successfully achieve these results the Associate Dean will need to cultivate effective and mutually beneficial relationships with faculty and administrators.
