Legal Advisor OIC Portal (Hybrid up to 26K)
Location: Wakefield (Hybrid 1 day in office 4 days WFH)
Salary: Up to 26000 (DOE)
Job Type: Full-time Permanent
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Legal Advisor to join our RTA OIC Portal team. You will manage a high-volume caseload of Official Injury Claim (OIC) Portal cases ensuring efficient progression and achieving the best outcomes for clients.
This is a hybrid role with only 1 day in the office and 4 days working from home offering flexibility while working in a fast-paced target-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle RTA OIC Portal claims from inception through to settlement or court proceedings.
- Assess liability and quantum review medical reports and research case law to support claims.
- Draft schedules of special damages and evaluate compensation for pain suffering and loss of amenity.
- Negotiate settlements with third parties to maximize client compensation.
- Identify litigation opportunities and navigate the Small Claims Litigation Process when necessary.
- Use a case management system to maintain client communication and provide high-quality service.
- Meet performance targets in a high-volume claims environment.
What Were Looking For:
Experience handling RTA Portal and non-Portal claims.
Strong liability assessment and negotiation skills.
Ability to work in a target-driven legal environment while maintaining high client care standards.
Proficiency in case management systems Word and Excel.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Desirable Skills:
Working towards a Chartered Legal Executive qualification or other legal accreditation.
Litigation experience is beneficial but not essential.
A proactive self-motivated attitude with a commitment to career development in personal injury law.
