We are seeking a Dietary Technician to support nutritional services at their Long-Term and Short-Term Acute Care facility. This role plays a key part in dietary planning food service delivery and documentation of patient nutrition care. The position is a 13-week contract with potential to transition to a permanent caregiver role depending on mutual agreement. Local candidates are preferred but relocation is considered for those interested in long-term placement.
Responsibilities:Deliver meals and ensure proper dietary compliance for patients across levels of care
Monitor and document patient food and nutrition intake
Maintain accurate food temperatures and complete food service logs
Collaborate with Registered Dietitians (RDs) and Registered Nurses (RNs)
Perform calorie counts and assess for nutrient deficiencies
Manage census diet cards and coordinate meal distribution logistics
Ensure proper storage and ordering of dietary supplies
Comply with dietary guidelines and facility policies
Use computerized systems for documentation and reporting
Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Dietary Technician
Strong communication and documentation skills
Must be comfortable working independently and within an interdisciplinary team
Must be open to long-term commitment (temp-to-perm potential)
RTO must be confirmed with hiring manager and submitted with application
First-time travelers accepted
No on-call no weekend and no float expectations
Graduate of an accredited Dietetic Technician program (Required)
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in healthcare dietary services
Experience in LTAC acute care or SNF settings preferred
BLS (Preferred)
Graduate of Dietetic Technician Program (Required)
No state license required
