The Opportunity

Orrcon Steel is looking for a Regional Account Manager based in our Albany branch. Orrcon Steel is a manufacturer of steel tube and pipe and a trusted national distributor with well-known brands behind it. We supply quality steel to a wide range of customers from major projects to local fabricators and farmers who need dependable products that perform.

This rewarding role is all about knowing your customers understanding the work they do and the steel they count on. Based in Albany youll be out building strong lasting relationships with manufactures builders and fabricators people who value honest service and practical know-how.  Youll work closely with long-standing customers while also bringing in new business helping grow our footprint in Western Australias Great Southern region.  Your goal Drive smart sustainable growth in revenue margin and market share while keeping the trust of the people who rely on us.  Youll have the chance to make a real impact build strong local connections and deliver real value for your customers and the business.

This opportunity includes a competitive remuneration package including a laptop phone company vehicle (4 x 4 Toyota Hi Lux) and profit share plan (bonus).

What Will You Do

With the backing of our brand as an established steel supplier of Australian made quality products you will:

  • implement a purposeful call plan cycle and face-to-face client meetings to develop and maintain profitable business with new and existing clients
  • identify new business opportunities with new customers and identify opportunities to grow business with existing customers in the Albany and Great Southern Region
  • continue strong customer relations by executing market plans and strategies with consideration to business objectives individual customer requirements and market conditions
  • work collaboratively with the internal teams to fulfill and exceed customer needs
  • undertake price maintenance activities and database management

More About You

As someone with drive and initiative youll build strong relationships with a diverse range of customers always putting their needs first. Youll bring:

  • strong relationship management and influencing capability
  • account management or new business sales capability
  • the ability to leverage customer and market information to develop attractive product and solution-based ideas and service
  • commercial acumen with an ability to create new opportunities in a fast-paced environment
  • experience in steel or similar product ranges would be beneficial however not essential
