The Principal Tooling Engineer at GE Appliances is a recognized subject matter expert in a complex area. This role involves leading and managing tooling and equipment projects contributing to the development of goals and operational plans and ensuring significant improvements that impact the functions results. The Principal Tooling Engineer plays a pivotal role in guiding and mentoring cross-functional teams.

How Youll Create Possibilities

Project Leadership and Management

Drive and manage the execution of tooling/equipment projects.

Develop and manage gate closure in the gated management process.

Ensure the delivery of project deliverables including larger scopes

Process Development and Compliance:

Develop and manage specifications.

Lead and manage design review processes.

Manage and ensure compliance with standards and requirements.

Part Design and Development Guidance:

Guide and direct part design and development efforts

Develop and manage tool/equipment qualification efforts

Cross-Functional Team Leadership:

Lead guide and participate in cross-functional teams

Knowledge Base Contribution and Mentorship:

Contribute mentor and provide training for the teams development

What Youll Bring to Our Team

7 years of relevant experience including experience in GE Appliances.

Bachelors degree or tooling certification with a hands-on approach.

Certified Lean Leader.

Experienced or certified in Six Sigma/Lean principles.

Certified instructor in RJG (RJG Inc.) processes.

Proficient in applying GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to drawing review.

Experienced and hands-on expertise in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) for part and mold design.

Proficiency in CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering).

Highly capable in MS Office applications
