Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for public service and financial excellence The NC Department of Information Technology (NCDIT) is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Payable (AP) Accounting Manager Ito join our Controllers this pivotal role youll help shape the financial integrity of our department by leading AP operations advising senior leadership and ensuring compliance with state and federal financial standards.
As a key member of the Controllers team youll provide expert guidance on fiscal matters related to Accounts Payable maintain and update internal SOPs and contribute to the accuracy of the Agencys Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR). Youll also collaborate with the Controller and Deputy CFO to evaluate and enhance AP processes ensuring our financial systems remain efficient transparent and audit-ready.

About the Division
The IT Finance Division provides comprehensive financial services to NCDIT and related advisory services to the States IT community. Critical responsibilities include but are not limited to financial risk management internal and external financial reporting accounting departmental procurement budget development and execution partnership with internal and external constituents and support/planning for public-sector IT in North Carolina. IT Finance includes three sections: IT Finance Administration IT Financial Planning and Analysis and IT Accounting and Division Support. The Division is led by the Chief Financial Officer.

Bachelors degree in accounting or a degree in business administration finance or public administration or a related discipline from an appropriately accredited institution with 18 semester hours of accounting coursework; and five years of professional accounting experience in the preparation and review of interpretive or analytical accounting/financial statements and reports; of which at least one is supervisory; or equivalent combination of education and experience.The North Carolina Department of Information Technology (DIT) is an Equal Opportunity Employer who embraces an Employment First philosophy which consists of complying with all federal laws state laws and Executive Orders.
HYBRID/FLEXIBLE WORK SCHEDULES:
At NCDIT we are dedicated to fostering a collaborative and flexible work environment offering a hybrid remote work option for positions that are conducive to remote flexibility. If you do not currently reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the assigned duty station new hires are granted up to 120 days from their start date to relocate.
