This role enforces laws and regulations investigates complaints and incidents maintains order identifies criminal activity and apprehends and arrests offenders to ensure safety and security on all institutional properties and serve as a visible presence to prevent and deter criminal activity. This is a sworn law enforcement position under the general direction of a ranking officer or supervisor.

Compensation range of $28.00 - $35.00.
This position will earn an additional $0.80 per hour for all weekend hours worked as well as for all hours worked between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.
This position is not exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

A criminal conviction investigation medical exam psychological exam vision screening physical agility assessment and pre-employment drug screening will be conducted on the finalist(s). In addition if the final selected candidate has prior work history within the last 7 years with Universities of Wisconsin a personnel file review check for employee misconduct will be completed. A twelve-month probationary period is required for this compliance with the Wisconsin Fair Employment Act the University does not discriminate on the basis of arrest or conviction record.
