Description

The University Partnership (UP) Office is seeking a part-timeStudent Worker to assist in the office. Job responsibilities include providing University Partnership information to students faculty staff and visitors entering the office on the phone and via email in a cordial professional manner; updating and distributing University Partnership information as requested; data entry and knowledge of Microsoft Office products and web browsers; communicating through email phone and in-person with partner academic advisors faculty and staff as requested and as needed; maintaining phone log; performing clerical and office-related duties as assigned such as updating and assembling requested folders/forms/handouts distributing inter-office mail making copies faxing filing and running errands; posting flyers on boards around campus monitoring University Center classrooms/hallways and reporting irregularities; assisting with special projects; other duties as assigned by the Administrative Associate. Student will work 10-20 hours per week including some evenings until 7 pm and some Saturdays until 2:30 pm. The person selected reports to the Associate Provost of the University Partnership under supervision from the Administrative Associate.

Established in 1963 Lorain County Community College is the first community college in Ohio with a permanent campus. LCCC is a dynamic student-centered college intentionally designed to support individuals with balancing multiple roles on their path to college completion. 85% of LCCC students work while attending college with majority working at least half-time. The average age of LCCCs students is 24 and many bring life experiences that include caring for dependents serving in the military or completing some prior college. Over 80% of LCCC students received financial assistance through grants and scholarships and LCCC has been nationally recognized for holistic fully integrated services and commitment to student success.



Qualifications

Required: Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours at least 18 years old a high school graduate or GED recipient a Lorain County Community College student and maintain a 2.0 cumulative grade point average.

Preferred: Must have strong communication skills be detail-oriented and have some office work experience.
