Description
Were looking for an Application Solution Designer to join our DES Tribe. This role blends solution architecture and software engineeringperfect for someone who enjoys both designing and building applications.
Youll work closely with Solution Architects business analysts and technical teams to shape application designs and bring them to life. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds and experiences - if youre excited about the role wed love to hear from you!
What Youll Do- Collaborate on application architecture and design patterns.
- Translate business needs into clear solution designs.
- Ensure designs meet performance security scalability and maintainability standards.
- Support development teams with best practices and design reviews.
- Help evolve design frameworks and reusable components.
- Work with infrastructure teams to clarify technical context.
- Build key components using modern development practices (CI/CD TDD secure coding).
- Write clean well-documented code and lead by example.
- Maintain and improve web applications.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor developers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Contribute to DevOps practices like containerization and monitoring.
- Share knowledge through our Developer and Designer Community.
- Keep documentation accurate and up to date.
- 7 years in software development including 3 years in design or architecture support.
- Experience with backend and/or frontend technologies (.NET Core Angular MS Azure).
- Understanding of architectural principles (microservices REST APIs event-driven design).
- Familiarity with container platforms (OpenShift Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of messaging systems (Kafka) and integration patterns.
- Clear communicator with strong documentation skills.
- Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum teams.
- .NET Framework & .NET Core
- Angular JavaScript C#

- IBM WebSphere MQ Apache Kafka
- Service Fabric MS Azure
- Containerization (OpenShift Kubernetes)
