Job Description
Responsibilities:
Perform diagnosis and repair of prototype vehicles electrical/mechanical/software systems
Maintain detailed records of all work performed
Maintain test equipment in operational condition by performing routine maintenance and making minor repairs/adjustments as needed
Design build and modify vehicle instrumentation mounting systems test equipment wiring harnesses and data acquisition systems as needed.
Fabricate and/or modify existing prototype components/fixtures
Document setup troubleshooting and test results communicate issues and propose improvements
Prepare vehicles for testing including instrumentation installation and troubleshooting of data loggers and test equipment
Execute vehicle testing and data capture with the support of test engineers to evaluate prototype vehicles and systems.
Communicate directly with engineers and other technicians to ensure a high level of technical support
Load and transport prototype vehicles to specified test locations as needed
Test drive prototype vehicles
Establish and maintain good working relationships with partners and stakeholders
