What the role will involve

The responsibilities of your role will include the following:

Responsible for ensuring the site Security requirements are adhered to for the Burgess Hill site by ensuring compliance with GovS007 and applicable customer and Corporate Security requirements.

Site Access and Visitor Control

Control of classified assets in accordance with customer contractual requirements

Ensure compliance and promote best practice and continuous improvements to all aspects of site and personnel security

Work collaboratively with the UK Security team on improvement initiatives and security projects

Conduct internal ISO27001 assessments and support external assessments

Security Awareness Ensure a high level of security awareness and compliance on the Burgess Hill site in-line with Security Awareness Training Plans including conducting new starter inductions and bespoke training sessions where applicable

Security Advice and Support Provide advice and guidance to staff on all physical personnel and procedural security matters

Security Incident Management Management of Burgess Hill-based security incidents including containment internal reporting actions and lessons learned.

Deputizing for Security team staff on other sites as required

Facilities Health Safety and Environmental Representative responsibilities

The HSE Representative supports the MAPPS (UK) Facilities Health Safety and Environmental Manager and acts as the main contact for employees on safety health and welfare concerns.

Key duties include:

Investigating and resolving employee safety complaints.

Communicating hazards or concerns to the company via the safety reporting process.

Conducting workplace inspections ensuring safety equipment is maintained and ensuring risk assessments are current and updated with any workplace changes.

Assisting with audits reporting and investigation of any incidents and maintaining HSE documentation.

Ensuring site inductions and DSE forms are completed.

Supporting compliance with HSE standards and environmental objectives.

Promoting training and awareness for site health safety and environmental matters.

Oversees the day-to-day facilities operations of the buildings co-ordinating all maintenance repairs and cleaning of the facility.

What youll bring

The role requires the following experience and skills:

Significant working knowledge and understanding of HMG policy

Health and Safety regulatory compliance experience

Ability to prioritise problem solve and manage a varied workload

Ability and willingness to travel within the UK

Self-motivated positive and proactive approach essential

DISA Security Controller and/or Document Control Training

ISO27001 internal auditor / implementertraining or experience

IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH General Certificate
