Job Description

Job Title: Residential Support Worker
Location: Middlesbrough across 1 to 3 homes
Working Hours: Varied based on the needs of the service
Hourly Rate: 13.00 14.00
Number of Sleep-Ins Required: Varied
Pay Per Sleep-In: 50.00 60.00
Service Type: Childrens Residential Home
Service Users: Children & Young People with Learning Disabilities and Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (dependent on the home)
Qualifications Desired: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare is desirable (or equivalent)
Experience Required: Must have experience working with children or young adults who present challenging behaviour
Employment Type: Permanent
DBS: Preferred on the Update Service
References: We must be able to obtain references from all employers within the last 5 years and from all roles since leaving school where you worked with vulnerable adults or children

Number of Beds: Varies by home
Location: Middlesbrough
Type of Young People: Learning Disabilities EBD Trauma Neglect
Ofsted Rating: Good and Outstanding across the homes
Staff-to-Child Ratio: Tailored to the needs of each home for high-quality care

  • Must not have lived outside of the UK for 3 months or more in the last 5 years

Who we are looking for:

  • Passionate individuals with a genuine desire to support children and young people
  • Professionals with experience supporting individuals with disabilities or behavioural challenges
  • Resilient reliable and nurturing team players
  • Aged 21 or over (in line with safeguarding regulations)
  • Fluent in English and able to understand a range of UK dialects as well as being able to read and write English
