Job Description
The Retail and Admissions Assistant is responsible for ensuring that every visitor passing through Godstone Farm enjoys the highest standard of customer experience whilst supporting the Operations Supervisor with the day to day running of the Gift Shop and Admissions. They will work within a small team across the Gift Shop and Admissions but will predominately work within the Gift Shop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a role model and lead by example to ensure the highest level of service delivery to both internal and external customers.
- Maintaining a safe clean and welcoming environment for customers and staff alike
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Gift Shop including serving visitors stock replenishment.
- Assist with maximising profitability of the shop through skilled merchandising and limiting wastage.
- Assist with the daily admissions operation ensuring excellent customer service exploiting up-sell opportunities and ensuring prevention of losses.
- Assisting the Operations Supervisor in liaising with suppliers and making orders
- Training casual and zero-hour workers in shop procedures and standards
- Assisting in other areas of the farm and events
- Proactively look for opportunities to improve commercial results and visitor experience and implement these in conjunction with the Operations Supervisor
Key Requirements
- A confident and outgoing personality with the ability to work hard and have fun at the same time.
- Previous retail experience in a commercial and customer facing role is essential.
- Training will be given.
- Candidate must be highly literate and numerate.

Location: Godstone Farm Farm Limited Tilburstow Hill Rd Godstone RH9 8LX
Job type: Permanent Contract. This is a part time role (3 days a week Monday Thursday and Friday predominantly). Includes weekends and bank holidays. Hours are generally - Winter: 9am - 5pm Summer: 9am -6pm (1/2 hour for lunch).

Salary: Starting at 17080.06 (3 days a week)
