Job Description
ENG 181 Class and Literary Texts. This is a 3-credit course the offers the construction and representation of class especially as it affects the production and reception of literary and other cultural texts. The course is run in Fall of 2025 Academic semester. Start date for this position is August 18 2025. The hiring rate of pay for the successful candidate will be determined based on their per credit rate history with the hiring department. All course offerings are subject to funding availability and enrollment.
Responsibilities
Part-time Instructor duties will include the following: Part-time instructor duties will include the following: Develop and/or updating a class syllabus. Ordering the appropriate books and materials in advance of the class start date. Preparing lectures projects or other student assignments. Maintain regularly scheduled office hours of two hours per week. Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the class. Meeting all designated class periods if you are unable to meet with your class due to illness or emergency you should exercise your best effort to reschedule the class or to obtain a substitute. You must notify the department chair of their designated contact of your absence and of your plan to cover the class. Working with the academic unit to maintain student learning outcomes. Submitting completed final grades according to University regulations. Providing departmentally sanctioned forms for completed student evaluations. Completing all other course-related duties as outlined by your departments policies for part-time instructions.
