Job Description
The Digital Media Producer will be responsible for creating managing and distributing quick-turn media assets for Syracuse University flagship digital channels including web and social platforms. Demonstrated knowledge experience and passion for multimedia storytelling is essential. The Digital Media Producer is a creative passionate storyteller with a sharp attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This role must be digitally savvy and comfortable crafting stories in a variety of formats to advance marketing and business goals as part of larger marketing and University strategies. The Digital Media Producer creates multimedia story boards and scripts selects music consistent with creative positioning and strategies and collaborates with other channel teams as needed. Works closely with Digital Media Content Creators to produce video and image-based stories that engage and attract key audiences. This position will require advanced knowledge of the nuances of social media and web channels to ensure the right message in the right way to the right audience. The Digital Media Producer will work closely with the Marketing Research team and Social Media Strategists to understand performance of posts and make data-based decisions accordingly.
Responsibilities
Conception and production of quick-turn video and photo content that brings the Syracuse University brand to life on digital channels and supports divisional priorities campaign strategies and university goals. Partner with marketing strategy and channel teams (including content creative and multimedia) to develop and execute digital media projects from conception to final execution that meet marketing goals. Assist the Digital and Strategy teams with early stages of strategy development and ideas for execution. Regularly assess video performance by partnering with analytics team using data to make informed decisions to about format approach and promotion of content through necessary distribution channels. Other duties as assigned.
