Job Description
We are looking for a Team Lead for a client in the fintech industry.
Our client is a next-generation fintech platform revolutionizing the banking experience to make it simpler more transparent and accessible. Its B2B2C software company. Their platform integrates services like property valuation AI-powered document processing and automated financing advice to enhance the home-buying journey.
Location: 100% Remote within Germany with optional quarterly meetups (2 days) in Munich Hamburg or Berlin.
Contract type: Direct official employment with the client.
Tech Environment:
- Frontend: Angular 19 TypeScript
- Infrastructure & Tools: Docker Kubernetes Kafka Azure
- Backend: Ruby on Rails
Tasks
- Lead and engage a team of frontend and backend engineers
- Drive team development and performance through coaching and mentorship. You will be responsible for team performance review coaching and people development plans
- Ensure the platforms technical scalability stability and long-term maintainability
- Promote best engineering practices and uphold code quality
- Actively contribute to the Angular codebase and set technical standards by example
- Remove team blockers and handle internal challenges
- Collaborate with the Product Manager on Epics estimates and delivery
Requirements
- 5 years of Angular TypeScript development experience
- 2 years of experience in people management is a must-have for this role
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on team empowerment and collaborative management
- Solid background in building production-ready software as well as maintaining and monitoring its behavior in production
- Hands-on experience with the latest versions of Angular
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is a strong advantage
- Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence
- Fluent in English German is a plus
- Ruby on Rails is a plus but not a must
