Position: Salesforce Architect
Duration: Multi-Year ( 12 months )
Location: Ashburn VA 1x / week
Must be able to obtain a US Government Secret Clearance
The job is all about Discovery and Assessment of the requirements not an implementation project.
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Architect to join our team supporting the Custom Border Patrol. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Service Cloud enterprise architecture and Salesforce implementation. You will be responsible for leading the conceptual and logical architectures implementing and managing Salesforce solutions and effectively designing solutions using both custom and out-of-the-box (OOB) features in Salesforce.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the enterprise architecture for conceptual and logical architectures to support Salesforce implementations.
Design implement and manage Salesforce solutions ensuring they meet business requirements and are scalable.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Design solutions using both custom development and out-of-the-box (OOB) features in Salesforce.
Expert level experience using Salesforce to configure code and support integrations using any of the following: Salesforce process automation and workflow rules Apex programming batch jobs sharing and security Lightning component framework reports/dashboards Salesforce CI/CD capabilities SSO OAuth and OIDC
Experience working in an automated development environment using CI/CD tools such as GitLab / GitHub Bamboo Jenkins SonarQube
Experience developing against relational databases (e.g. Oracle PostgreSQL) as well as SOQL in Salesforce
Comfortable with command line and scripting (Bash preferred)
Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams ensuring best practices and standards are followed.
Conduct code reviews and ensure the quality of the delivered solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Salesforce implementations.
Stay up-to-date with the latest Salesforce features and updates and recommend improvements to existing solutions.
Responsible for overall design architecture and end-to-end of the implementation of Salesforce applications
Hands-on coding experience with a willingness to work with developers to resolve problems and provide mentorship
Design solutions with Client-Side Scripting such as JavaScript
Ability to implement and manage Salesforce implementations with a public domain/certificate management/single sign on/SP & IDP implementation experience
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Salesforce Solution Architect with a focus on Service Cloud.
Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles and best practices.
Extensive experience in designing and implementing Salesforce solutions.
Proficiency in using both custom development and out-of-the-box (OOB) features in Salesforce.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with government agencies or in a similar environment.
Knowledge of security and compliance requirements for government agencies.
Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
Experience with data migration to include integration data cleansing and import/export of large volumes of data
Nice to haves:
Design/Architecture of other programming languages such as Java/J2EE is preferred.
Salesforce Experience Cloud (Site/Communities) experience
Experience with Salesforce DX and Visualforce
Experience developing Java-based services
Experience utilizing ConnectedApps for security integration with other enterprise components.
Experience with NamedCredentials REST APIs API security and FFLIB libraries
