Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate closely with Port Managers to ensure seamless discharge of responsibilities and full compliance with operational standards.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance Team to achieve targeted Turnaround Time (TAT) for truck repairs and maintenance.
- Ensure timely collation of container cards and forward them to the Business Development Department for further processing.
- Conduct follow-up calls with drivers to provide interventions or resolutions when necessary.
- Oversee daily logistics operations (work closely with the Logistics Admin) including: Preparing Daily Operational Plans Generating Mid-day Progress Reports and Compiling End-of-Day Reports.
- Liaise promptly with clients to gather weekly requirements enabling proactive planning to meet their needs effectively.
- Provide early notification to the HR Department regarding expired truck documents and incidents ensuring timely reporting to insurance where necessary.
- Verify and approve road costs before payment to ensure accuracy and accountability.
- Develop and implement daily operation plans to maximize truck utilization ensuring a minimum number of trips per week is consistently achieved.
- Manage and coordinate all activities of Port Officers and Drivers to ensure alignment with operational goals and standards.
