You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe University of Iowa healthcare Department of Nursing is seeking a100% Clinical Coordinator for the Pediatric Specialty Clinic Neurology team.
The Pediatric Neurology Multidisciplinary Nurse Coordinator serves as a central figure in the coordination of care for patients seen in the Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC) and Neurocritical Care Clinic. This position will also serve patient populations such as those with Neuromuscular diagnoses while working closely with the nursing team to track monitor and ensure thoroughness related to complex medication regimen and lab tracking. This individual will ensure patients receive timely high-quality and comprehensive care by acting as the primary link between families providers ancillary services inpatient units outpatient clinics and other modalities of care. The Nurse Coordinator is responsible for evaluating patient outcomes supporting quality improvement initiatives and facilitating communication among multidisciplinary teams to address complex and evolving healthcare needs including neurological metabolic nutritional behavioral and developmental concerns.
Responsibilities:
Designs and implement patient/family health education activities for the pediatric neurology patient population recognizing individualized need
