Title: Redbird Well Student Assistant

The student worker for Redbird Well Student Assistant will serve as a peer leader and wellness advocate supporting campus-wide efforts to promote student mental health emotional well-being and engagement with resources such as TimelyCare. This student worker will assist in outreach education event planning and peer engagement strategies that increase awareness accessibility and utilization of wellness services.
Redbird Well Student Assistant broad responsibilities can include:
Serve as a peer ambassador for TimelyCare educating fellow students about its features (24/7 mental health care health coaching TalkNow and self-care resources)
Facilitate outreach and education campaigns on topics such as mental health stress management health relationships and overall well-being.
Table at campus events conduct classroom presentations and engage students through one-on-one or small group interactions.
Provide peer insights to help shape programming that reflects the needs and experiences of Illinois State students.
Collaborate with student organizations residence halls and campus partners to extend the reach of wellness messaging.

Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at Illinois State University
Current undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing.
Interest in responsibly working a flexible schedule.
Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
Familiarity with Redbird Well and TimelyCare is a plus.
Passionate about student mental health well-being and peer support.
Experience with public speaking or peer mentoring.
Knowledge of mental health and wellness issues facing college students.
Will be determined based on the students availability.
Work hours will vary with most hours scheduled in the afternoons and evenings.
Some evening and weekend hours may be required for events.
