Job Description

Classification Title:

Bldg Energy Performance Coordr

Classification Minimum Requirements:

Masters degree in an appropriate area (mechanical engineering architecture building construction/management) and two years of relevant experience; or a bachelors degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience. LEED AP credential required or CBCP CEM CEA certification from the Association of Energy Engineers.

Job Description:

Energy Reporting & Data Management

Lead development and distribution of recurring energy reports (quarterly annual ad hoc).

Track building-level energy use intensity (EUI) demand spikes anomalies and trends.

Maintain and improve high level hierarchy metering data quality to support allocation and external reporting.

Prepare data for BOG Energy Report LEED chilled water plant analysis Clean Energy Connection APPA and Sightlines submissions.

Stakeholder Communication & Engagement

Develop and deliver presentations to building managers and facility stakeholders.

Provide guidance on energy-saving behaviors and low/no-cost operational opportunities.

Communicate top-performing and underperforming buildings each quarter with visual data.

Collaborate with communications and sustainability teams to showcase progress.

Utility Cost Allocation Support

Provide detailed energy usage data to support building-level utility cost allocation.

Work with Finance and Cost Analysis teams to refine allocations by shared occupancy.

Assist with annual audit support budgeting inputs and space survey data integration.

Strategic Program Development

Develop benchmarking dashboards and competitive scorecards for colleges/departments.

Identify buildings with reduction potential based on historical usage trends.

Evaluate impacts of guaranteed energy investments or ESCO improvements.

Other Duties

Participate in software testing utility project tracking and special initiatives.

Support Facilities Services leadership on special reporting requests or ad hoc studies.

Required: Valid Class E Drivers License for occasional site visits

Required: LEED AP or CBCP CEM CEA certification from the Association of Energy Engineers.

NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE:

Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

A criminal background will be conducted.

Open for current UF employees only.

Expected Salary:

Commensurate with experience

Required Qualifications:

Masters degree in an appropriate area (mechanical engineering architecture building construction/management) and two years of relevant experience; or a bachelors degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience. LEED AP credential required or CBCP CEM CEA certification from the Association of Energy Engineers.

Preferred:

Strong background in energy reporting building systems or utility data.

Familiarity with AiM Sightlines PeopleSoft and energy metering tools.

Experience with Excel Power BI or similar tools for dashboard creation.

Public speaking or outreach experience a plus.
