The anticipated start date is September 23 2025. Strong candidates will have extensive Indigenous knowledge in relation to culture and learning and have teaching experience in K-12 and post-secondary settings.
Calendar Description:
This introductory course presents an overview of instructional and assessment strategies as it relates to promoting and learning a second language. Teacher candidates learn about proficiency-based instruction and the meaning of language competence. They create and teach lessons using French or Secwepemctsin. Teacher candidates develop their skills in assessment for learning as learning and of learning as it applies in a language classroom. They also learn about technology-based resources activities and projects available for the language classroom.
