We are seeking an outstanding and experienced educational leader for the position of Head of Faculty PDHPE. This role provides an exciting opportunity to lead a vibrant and committed team in delivering a curriculum that supports student wellbeing physical development and lifelong health.
The Head of Faculty will be responsible for shaping and articulating a clear vision for Health and Physical Education overseeing the design and implementation of innovative learning programs and ensuring excellence in teaching and learning across the faculty. A key part of the role is to mentor support and develop staff fostering a culture of professional growth and continuous improvement. This position requires a leader with strong curriculum knowledge proven leadership skills and a passion for inspiring both staff and students to achieve their personal best in PDHPE.
The position is full-time ongoing commencing 20 January 2026. The position of Head of Faculty carries a teaching load of 0.6 FTE with 0.4 FTE release time.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate will:
- be an outstanding classroom teacher who models best practice teaching and learning
- have a detailed understanding of the NSW curriculum framework across Stages 4 6

- demonstrate strategic leadership capabilities and have a well-developed understanding of contemporary educational issues and innovative pedagogical approaches related to the faculty and broader school context
- hold a postgraduate qualification in educational leadership or similar (desirable)
- demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the Mission and Values of the College
- demonstrate the capacity to develop and sustain strong interpersonal relationships and establish productive partnerships
- demonstrate high level administrative and organisational skills
- excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as highly developed interpersonal skills
- a proactive approach demonstrating personal initiative adaptability and time management skills
- the ability to multi-task and set priorities with acute attention to detail
- contribute to the Community Contribution Program at the College
- hold a current Working with Children Check and be committed to safeguarding and promoting the safety welfare and well-being of children and young people
