Product Technologist- Garments (Knit/Jersey)

Job Description

WHAT YOULL DO 

As a Product Technologist you are responsible for educating and developing our suppliers in product quality fit and technical risk assessment on our products. You have extensive technical and textile production knowledge. Along with a very good level of knowledge and understanding in fit grading pattern construction consumption customer material and cost that you can rely on/ability to help grow and develop our business and supplier capability. 

Responsibilities 

• Working on site with suppliers you are responsible for educating and developing our suppliers towards self-reliance in the product flow in connection to your assortment needs 

• Working closing with the necessary stakeholders your role is to ensure we deliver the best product aligned with our business idea.  

• You play a key role in contributing towards securing best product from a customer perspective. Working with the global/regional teams you are responsible for co executing the market development plans and supplier / product strategy on your product categories. 

• Working with our suppliers and hand in hand with other relevant internal stakeholders you are responsible for driving/developing product development and production capability within quality fit and consumption optimization. 

• Execute advance technical training and Workshop with the suppliers on timely basis with the help of Specialist in the industry. 

• Provide feedback on technical pack accuracy / completeness & enhancements to product developers on a demand basis. 

• Developing the suppliers and guiding them

WHO YOULL WORK WITH 

What is Production Its the place where design ideas are transformed into actual products. We are in over 20 sourcing markets and are the direct point of contact for local suppliers. We work to ensure our products are of good quality and produced at the best price and in a sustainable way. 

WHO YOU ARE 

• Technical qualification in garment / textile. 5 years or above working experience in Knit/Jersey in womenswear product category. 

• Good knowledge of pattern sewing and fitting line set up and optimize performance. 

• Familiar with various international test method and standards (ISO JIS) would be an advantage. 

• Ability to build strong relationships with various working stakeholders  

• Good computer skills such as MS office & pattern software 3d fittings and digital development tools.

• Collaboration and teamwork are key you should work hand in hand with Product Development teams and other stakeholders to co-execute the strategies and activities that are set.  

• Give clear directions to the suppliers in terms of the quality of the product. You have the skill for adapting your communication level according to different personalities. 

• You channel your entrepreneurial spirit with your innovative and out of the box thinking to come up with fresh solutions and improvements. 

• Business minded you have good local market knowledge and the ability to seek out further opportunities that could strengthen our customer offer.
