Job Summary:
At HUB24 we are on a mission to transform the financial services landscape by building innovative platforms that empower financial advisers and make quality advice more accessible and affordable for all Australians. As a Data Engineer within our Licensee team youll play a key role in shaping and enhancing the HUBconnect Licensee product leveraging your expertise in SQL data reporting and software engineering.Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Product and Delivery teams to onboard new customers and interpret their data needs.
- Translate business requirements into robust development implementation and integration solutions across the HUBconnect Licensee product.
- Design develop and enhance ETL processes and data transformation pipelines.
- Partner with testers analysts business stakeholders and technical leads across the business to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Provide ongoing support for existing systems and processes including participation in a shared after-hours support roster.
- Upskill in modern data technologies such as Databricks and DBT with opportunities to contribute to full-stack development and broaden your engineering capabilities.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3 years experience working as a Software Engineer.
- Strong understanding of relational database concepts and database design principles particularly in Microsoft SQL Server.
- Advanced SQL development skills with proven experience creating stored procedures views functions and triggers in Microsoft SQL Server.
- Exposure to Modern Data Stacks with specific experience in Databricks highly regarded.
- Proficiency in C# for building Web Services Microservices and ETL functions using Visual Studio.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience using testing tools such as Postman or similar automation platforms.
- Familiarity with Git and Azure DevOps for version control and CI/CD processes.
- Experience working within an Agile (SCRUM) development environment.
- Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Apigee Web Services is desirable.
- Willingness to participate in after-hours application support as part of a rotating roster.
