Job Title: IT Operations Engineer I

Location: Herndon VA.

Everfox is seeking an information Technology Operations Engineer I to assist with the support of Everfoxs Internal Corporate IT and cloud environments. Additionally the IT Operations Engineer I interacts with various departments to answer questions problems and requests regarding system issues.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

Works under the supervision of the Manager IT Operations and Senior/Principal IT Operations Engineers as prescribed by team structure and other management initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Manages and maintains Microsoft 365 environments.
• Assists Service Desk with Microsoft 365 service ticket escalations.
• Assists with building configuring and troubleshooting virtual machines using VMWare.
• Assists with administering cloud environments using Azure AWS Google Cloud and Oracle.
• Assists with administering users and applications in Entra and Okta.
• Ensures backups in various systems are completed successfully and troubleshoots any backup failures.
• Collaborates with vendors for support with resolving issues.
• Monitors the health of systems to include infrastructure Windows and Linux servers and workstations.
• Collaborates with team members and other departments to resolve issues and ensure environment stability and security.
• Troubleshoots problems to locate root cause and recommends appropriate fixes in expedient fashion.
• Collaborates to maintain a library of system-supporting processes and procedural documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

• 1-2 years experience with Windows 10 and 11 desktop systems.
• Some experience in installation setup configuration and troubleshooting of Microsoft desktop and server platforms.
• Experience with monitoring of ticketing system prioritizing problems supporting projects and supporting enterprise level infrastructure.
• Experience working with inventory supporting hardware (workstations laptops printers and other equipment).
• Experience installing patching/maintaining and troubleshooting applications and operating systems.
• Microsoft AZ-900 or MS-900 Certification is highly preferred

NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of networking and the OSI model is highly desired.
• Familiarity with Windows Server 2016 and newer operating systems.
• Excellent oral written time management and presentation skills.
• Customer Service Experience and positive attitude
• Strong technical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to convey technical issues and material to non-technical individuals.
• Ability to document processes and procedures clearly and error-free.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• May be required to participate in after-hours escalations as needed.
