Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our automotive dealership. The Service Advisor is the liaison between our customers and the service department. This individual will be responsible for greeting customers understanding their vehicle issues coordinating service work and ensuring a seamless experience throughout the repair process. The ideal candidate has a passion for automobiles excellent communication skills and thrives in a fast-paced customer-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally in the service lane

  • Understand and document the customers vehicle concerns and service needs

  • Accurately generate repair orders and explain recommended maintenance or repair work

  • Provide accurate estimates for labor and parts and obtain proper approvals

  • Communicate with technicians regarding service work and vehicle status

  • Keep customers informed of progress delays or additional service needs

  • Coordinate vehicle pick-up and drop-off; schedule appointments as needed

  • Handle customer concerns or complaints and escalate when necessary

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dealership services specials and warranty policies

  • Ensure a clean safe and professional work environment

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or technical degree preferred

  • Prior experience as a service advisor automotive technician or in a customer-facing role within the automotive industry

  • Knowledge of automotive systems and repair terminology

  • Proficient in dealership management systems (e.g. CDK Reynolds & Reynolds)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a high-volume environment

  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record

Working Conditions:

  • Majority of time spent in a dealership service office and service lane environment

  • Some exposure to shop elements such as noise dust and fumes

  • Full-time schedule including Saturdays and extended hours as needed
