Job Description

Overview

$2500 Hiring Incentive

The Speech Language Pathologist II will provide direct patient care for assessing and treating communication (i.e. speech/language) oral motor and feeding/swallowing disorders: administering department and program functions; supervising speech language pathologist at various levels: maintaining documentation relative to services offered: and participating in intra and interdisciplinary training programs.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide functional communication (i.e. speech/language) oral motor and feeding/swallowing assessment or treatment with consideration to patients and families needs and interest.
  2. Supervise graduate students clinical fellows (concordant with level of experience and expertise).
  3. Maintain documentation consistent with Institute and Department expectations for all activities as well as guidelines by The Joint Commission CARF and ASHA.
  4. Participate in intra-disciplinary and interdisciplinary activities relative to patient care (e.g. team conferences and professional training (e.g. staff development activities).
  5. Maintain appropriate professional affiliations for state and national licensure/certification as well as following standards set forth by the Institute and the Program.
  6. Participate in departmental activities and outreach activities in the community (e.g. presentations service on committees).
  7. Assist supervisor in setting and implementing goals for professional growth and development.

USD $61845.00/Hr.
