DescriptionAs Head of FEC Credit & C&R UK&I you will have overall responsibility for local FEC Credit and Collections & Recovery activities. You will be executing the first line responsibilities building and maintaining a solid risk culture together with the Regional Chief Risk Officer and ensuring effective and efficient risk related processes. This is a statutory Senior Manager role under the Senior Manager & Certification Regime and a Director of the UK business.

Key responsibilities
- Manage coach and support the managers and team leads reporting to you.
- Analyse the risks in customer and vendor applications approve transactions within your authorisation level and decide upon strategies/provision levels regarding distressed accounts.
- Assess or approve Customer Due Diligence (CDD) assessments and ensure that regulatory requirements are embedded in the daily activities in order to support the business in achieving their budgeted risk loss targets.
- Translate our customer needs into solutions whilst meeting DLLs risk appetite.
- Closely align on all relevant risk and FEC items with the commercial domain.
- Build effective relationships with regional risk roles and your counterparts in other countries. You will be part of the local MT and build strong relationships within the local organisation.
- Participate in risk/credit committees.
- Work with the Flow Risk Specialist to refine auto decisioning rules set partner ranking and the amount up to which proposals from individual partners can be auto decisioned.
- Provide support to the Europe and Global Risk functions when required.
- Ensure the Risk Control Framework adequately monitors the core risks in the business.
Critical Targets
- Credit risk costs within Through The Cycle (TTC) budget and Non-Performing Loans (NLPs) (and development) within target
- Reviews for CDD and FEC managed within time and within target level.
- Quality and timeliness of decisions adequately balancing customer commercial needs and risk appetite focus
- Optimising performance of the Automated Credit Decisioning system maximising the proportion of business the system can decision and minimising the percentage of low side overrides
- Compliant process and procedures with governance policies authorisation levels and aligned with DLL framework.
- Ensure the knowledge and skills requirements as outlined in the risk curriculum.
- Human resource planning and member engagement
Skills and Capabilities Required
- More than 10 years experience in risk management or compliance. Having experience applying significant levels of credit authority is preferable.
- You must have a natural tendency to collaborate with customers partners and colleagues to achieve shared professional results.
- You have experience in providing powerful hierarchical and functional guidance towards the country organisation.
- Strong leadership profile showing capability to build teams coach and mentor.
- High level strategic thinking.
- Strong stakeholder understanding/networker.
