About this role:

The Senior Data & Analytics Delivery Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the end-to-end delivery of demand for the function. This position is responsible for scheduling demand on-boarding and offboarding 3rd party delivery partners ensuring delivery is within agreed timelines and cost and for managing adherence to process guidelines and standards. This senior manager works closely with the functional towers D&A Solution Designers development partners and agile teams to ensure a smooth design and delivery process which delivers the business requirements. This role has line management responsibility for the D&A Solution Designers.

This role leads one or more teams of IT professionals overseeing complex IT projects and initiatives that align with business priorities and IT strategy. This role focuses on achieving functional objectives optimising resources and advancing technical capabilities within the dedicated discipline.

Accountabilities:

  • Managing the demand estimation design and delivery processes ensuring all SLAs are met and deliverables are of high quality. Ensuring business requirements are clearly defined before accepting them for design and delivery.

  • Tracking and reporting on the functions KPIs and propose actions for continuous improvement of the functions demand design and delivery processes to enhance team performance.

  • Line management responsibility for the Solution Designers including development of resources and maintaining high team morale.

  • Providing guidance and support to the Solution Designers and ensuring allocation to projects in line with skills and experience and project needs.

  • Facilitating effective communication and collaboration between internal teams and external delivery partners.

  • Key point of contact between IT leadership functional resources and delivery teams fostering strong relationships and maintaining regular communication to keep all key stakeholders informed about project progress risks and issues.

  • Ensuring demand is delivered within the timelines and cost. Escalating exceptions and identifying remediation steps.

  • Onboarding and offboarding external delivery resources ensuring the D&A processes guidelines and standards are understood and adhered to.

  • Running SCRUM for the internally managed scope of delivery including sprint planning daily stand ups backlog management demos reviews and retrospectives.

  • Acting as an escalation point in the event of any blockages or issues across the end-to-end process for demand delivery.

  • Identifying and mitigating risks associated with demand delivery ensuring continuity and quality of service.

  • Driving process improvements promoting best practices to increase team productivity reducing risk and optimising service delivery.

  • Collaborating to align projects with broader company goals and strategic IT initiatives.

  • Overseeing team performance and ensuring compliance with IT and regulatory standards including data security quality assurance and any local laws.

Skills and Experience (Manager):

  • Bachelors degree in Information Management Computer Science or related field.

  • Proven track record of leading and coordinating teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

  • People and line management experience including leading developing and motivating teams to achieve their goals managing conflict and conducting performance appraisals.

  • Thorough understanding of SCRUM methodology SCRUM Master certification and 5 years experience working in an agile delivery environment.

  • Proficiency in tools and techniques for mapping and analyzing business processes.

  • Excellent organisational skills including planning time management team management and task prioritisation.

  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills and ability to understand business challenges. The role needs to adapt styles interpret and explain information to different audiences inside and outside the organisation who are not familiar with the subject matter.

  • Excellent negotiation skills and the confidence to influence internal and external stakeholders.

  • Experienced in establishing and meeting team targets delegating work and managing resources including line management and budgeting.

  • Overseeing the resolution of complex or unusual issues utilising original thought or unique approaches and sophisticated analytical techniques to guide the development of sub-regional processes.

  • Proven ability to significantly influence outcomes through effective decision-making.

  • Able to direct the application of existing principles and provide insights to senior management about the development of new policies ideas and approaches.
