Title: Head Golf Coach (Temporary Part-Time)

Work Hours: 22.5 hours per week

Position Summary: Implement and lead a competitive golf team to compete in TCCAA/NJCAA Division 2

Duties and Responsibilities:

60% Golf Program Management
Serve as mens head golf coach including recruiting organization of practice match scheduling management of operating budget and fundraising.
Supervise the assistant golf coach or coaches.
Responsible for care and maintenance of golf equipment used by the program.
Tracks records and statistics for both team and individuals.
Work closely with the athletic director to schedule personal and team travel.
Present for all practices matches and tournaments.

25% Student Athlete & Academic Management
Monitor golf student-athlete progress including class attendance academic performance personal adjustment and financial aid management
to Coordinate and monitor student study athletic tutoring and classroom performance.
Work with student athletes aid placement at the University level

10% Student Athlete Conduct
Responsible for student conduct on the field of play
Accountable for making sure all student athletes are following the latest sport rules and guidelines with a focus on sportsmanship

5% Community Involvement
Involved in the local golf community.
Promotes the Pellissippi golf program in a positive manner in the local community.

Required Qualifications: High School diploma or GED equivalent

Years of Experience:
- Prefer at least two years of golf coaching at the college level
- Experience recruiting student-athletes preferred
