Position Summary
Career Readiness Learning Objectives Communication The student-worker will enhance their communication skills through interactions with fellow students coaches athletic department staff spectators and members of the campus community. Teamwork The student-worker will work in collaboration with other student-workers and athletic department staff towards a common goal. The student-worker will assume shared responsibilities related to their schedule and interests and will work with other team members to ensure that all shifts are covered and that the work is being done at a high level. The Athletics Events and Facilities Assistant is a part-time position and is responsible for assisting the Internal Operations Coordinator and/or the Events and Facilities division. This position will assist with game day operations and supervision in the weight room and equipment room. Essential Functions: 1. Must be able to follow instructions and work independently to achieve outlined goals. 2. Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position and at a minimum lift 30lbs. 3. Work is preformed indoors and outdoors in a busy University Setting. 4. The work schedule will vary depending on the number of events. (Predominantly evening and weekend shifts) 5. Ability to operate a washer and dryer 6. Good interpersonal skills 7. Detail-oriented 8. Responsible for the supervision of the varsity weight room during weekend and open weight room hours. 9. Must be able to follow instruction and work independently to achieve outlined goals. 10. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Must be a current student at Gannon University.
