Job Description:
The Storage Engineer will be responsible for managing storage and backup infrastructure. This includes configuring storage arrays troubleshooting NAS and SAN systems and ensuring data protection and integrity through robust backup and recovery procedures. The role is hybrid and requires presence in the Boston office.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Set up and manage backup and recovery processes for all production systems
- Configure and administer storage arrays (NAS/SAN)
- Ensure data integrity and availability through optimized backup strategies
- Monitor system logs performance metrics and resource usage for proactive issue resolution
- Perform general system administration duties related to backup and storage
- Act as technical resource for assigned projects testing and incident response
- Troubleshoot and resolve backup and storage-related issues
Required Skills:
- Strong background in networking within the data domain
- Experience with setting up and maintaining enterprise backup and recovery systems
- Proficiency in configuring and managing NAS and SAN storage solutions
- Solid understanding of backup technologies and data integrity assurance
- Experience in storage performance monitoring and capacity planning
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience working in transportation or large enterprise environments
- Familiarity with storage monitoring tools and scripting for automation
