You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailUnder the direction of the Social Worker Coordinator this position will assist with the day-to-day operation of the Access2Rides transportation voucher program as well as with health services programming and outreach. Responsibilities include but are not limited to case management grant compliance monthly reporting maintaining a partnership with RIDES community outreach and engagement.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist with the Transportation Voucher Program maintaining appropriate files and required reporting for grant compliance.
Assist with completing assigned tasks within Health Services division to successfully maintain programs and activities that improve Health outcomes of Precinct 2.
Assist with Case Management resource and referrals for constituents and maintain appropriate files and records for tracking statistics and grant compliance
Maintain current knowledge of health programs throughout Harris County and City of Houston including current rules and regulations.
Education:
High School Diploma from an accredited college or univerisity
Experience:
Experience working with low income minority or vulnerable populations
Experience with record keeping and compliance
Experience in customer service
Experience with community programs social services and or referrals
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Must have strong written and verbal communications skills.
Proficient working knowledge of computers and related software comprised of CIVICREC Microsoft Excel Word Outlook and office equipment.
Ability to create a safe secure and healthy work environment for fellow employees.
Ability to work with staff to accomplish all goals.
Ability to demonstrate a high level of professionalism with excellent communication skills.
Ability to take initiative and possess skills for problem solving and conflict resolution.
Ability to be efficient and detail-oriented with a strong customer/constituent focus

Position Type and Typical Hours of Work:
A temporary full-time position requiring the employee to work about 40 hours per week. This may include weekends and holidays.
