Job Description

Kyowa Kirin is a fast-growing global specialty pharmaceutical company that applies state-of-the-art biotechnologies to discover and deliver novel medicines in four disease areas: bone and mineral; intractable hematologic; hematology oncology; and rare disease. The Procurement Specialist III is responsible for managing daily and weekly procurement activities such as creating and reviewing Purchase Requisitions & Purchase Orders supporting the request for onboarding new vendors managing contract requests in the Legal database and purchasing goods and services on time in support of Manufacturing. The Procurement Specialist will also support the Supply Chain Planner in Masterdata for the Bill of Materials Item Masters Vendor Masters Setting-up price etc. This role requires frequent interactions with both internal and external stakeholders along with proficiency in multiple platforms & processes.

This role reports into the Director Procurement Manufacturing

Essential Functions
Create all Biobloom purchase requisitions and purchase orders to ensure compliance with purchasing policy and deliver goods and services on time.
Ensure correctness completeness and appropriate documentation Manage the onboarding process for new vendors in D365 and Legal database.
Work with Supply Chain Planning for the correctness of item master and vendor master for the buying of materials.
Prepare and track all site purchasing with the Director of Procurement for timely execution of purchasing requirements.
Responsible for identifying reporting escalating tracking legal and compliance issues.
Maintain real-time visibility into site procurement activities by providing daily updates on open and pending requests to ensure accuracy accountability and operational alignment.
Drive timely execution by sending proactive follow-up communications and reminders to internal stakeholders and vendors ensuring deliverables and approvals remain on track.
Responsible for entering and managing CDAs and contracts in Legal Database.
Provide guidance and training to colleagues on procurement processes and best practices fostering cross-functional understanding and supporting consistent compliant execution across the site.
Conduct troubleshooting communications and collaborate with internal partners to address and resolve future ordering issues.
Engage with internal stakeholders across various levels to address procurement needs and issues.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with the procurement process.
Leverage multiple platforms to manage procurement processes effectively.
Work with cross functional teams on various short-term and long-term projects related to the daily activities of the position.
Individual contributor with the opportunity to potentially lead or coordinate task teams.

Education
Bachelors degree in business administration Supply Chain Management or a related field.

Experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement Supply Chain or related field.
Experience with starting up and operating a biopharma manufacturing facility is a plus.

Technical Skills
Proficiency in utilizing ERP systems and running data analytics utilizing these systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 MS Excel MS Word and Microsoft PowerPoint.

Initially working on a construction site and ultimately in a biotech manufacturing site in Sanford NC.

Work is 100% on-site. This is not a hybrid or remote role.

Requires up to 10% domestic and limited international travel.

The anticipated salary for this position will be $89300 to $116600. The actual salary offered for this role at commencement of employment may vary based on several factors including but not limited to relevant experience skill set qualifications education (including applicable licenses and certifications job-based knowledge location and other business and organizational needs.
