We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join our Resilience Engineering team. Youll work on building the foundational self-service tooling that powers Wises reliability focusing on three key domains: Incident Management Chaos Engineering and Reliability Monitoring.
Youll be building products for over 100 engineering teams acting as a product owner for our internal reliability platform. You will collaborate across all of engineering to embed a culture of reliability automate operational toil and make it easy for every engineer to build and test for availability.

What will you be working on
This is a role with real impact and plenty of room for creativity where youll help solve important challenges at scale. This involves:
Evolving our incident management platform. Youll design and develop practical self-service tools - using AI and LLMs where it makes sense - to help over 2000 technical and non-technical colleagues respond to incidents faster and with less stress.
Leading our Chaos Engineering practice. Youll build foundational tooling for running safe experiments to proactively find weaknesses before they impact customers. Youll also own our disaster recovery testing and Game Days to ensure were always prepared.
Defining and drive the future of availability at Wise. Youll own the tooling that helps teams define and track Reliability Service Level Objectives (SLOs) giving them clear actionable data on system health. Your work will be central to how we think about Meaningful Availability for our customers.

What do you need
We know that great engineers can come from a variety of backgrounds. If you have some of the skills below and are excited to learn wed love to hear from you!
Solid software engineering experience in any language (we mainly use Python and Java but we care more about engineering principles).
A passion for building foundational self-service tooling that makes life easier for other engineers.
An interest in reliability principles like incident management SLOs and proactive testing (like Chaos Engineering).
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS GCP) and containerised environments.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence and drive change across many teams.
