Who are we looking for

A talented and client-focussed Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Electrical and Automation team in Melbournewhich is part of our high performing Plant and Process group.

You will bring a proven track record in water energy and manufacturing projects coupled with a genuine commitment to mentoring and developing team members. This position offers a significant opportunity to contribute to the professional growth of our people and we are dedicated to supporting your advancement as both a technical expert and a leader.

Through integrated design GHD has become a respected leader; we aim to create designs that are both functional and practical that challenge design parameters and most importantly meet the needs of our clients and communities. Our integrated teams provide a breadth of services across the entire life cycle of projects.

This role is primarily focused on winning and delivering high-impactwater energy and manufacturingmulti-disciplinaryprojects across Victoria with the opportunity to step into a team leadership role as part of your career progression.

Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Leading and collaborating onintegrated multi-disciplinaryprojects through all phases from tender preparation and design delivery through to construction support.
  • Mentoring and growth of team capability around technical delivery project and client outcomes and delivering high quality projects for our clients.
  • Leading the development and submission of proposals contributing to resource allocation and acting as project manager or discipline lead for medium-sized projects.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients industry networks and internal stakeholders to grow revenue and deliver value to our clients.
  • Promoting an inclusive supportive and collaborative working environment within the team.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Bachelors degree (or higher) with 7 years relevant experience in electrical engineering on multidisciplinary industrial or water projects ideally with Professional Engineering Registration in Victoria.
  • Demonstrated consulting mindset including proactive stakeholder engagement strategic problem-solving project management skills and the ability to deliver tailored solutions for our clients.
  • Previous experience and a strong appetite to manage a team are you able todevelop and empower a high performing team
  • Practical knowledge of relevant Australian Standards such as AS/NZS 3000 switchboards and hazardous areas standards.
  • Understanding of motor control PLCs SCADA system and industrial networks is preferrable.
  • For the right candidate we will consider a part-time appointment (minimum of 0.8 FTE).
  • Current Defence security clearance or be eligible to apply for clearance (readherefor more information on eligibility).
