Reporting to the Planning Manager the Junior Accommodation Planner supports the branch working along with both Strategic and Accommodation Planners with various projects and initiatives. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in interior design architecture or space planning who are passionate about shaping functional and inspiring work environments. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organized analytical and relationship-driven professional to contribute to complex province-wide planning initiatives that support government priorities.

This position is currently based on mobile work arrangement that will allow the candidate to work both from the office and home. The candidate is required to live in Edmonton or within reasonable commuting distance. The home base for the Branch is at the Infrastructure Building 6950-113 Street Edmonton Alberta.

Key Responsibilties:

Required: University degree in Interior Design Urban/ Regional Planning or related no experience required; or equivalent as described

Equivalency: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of 1 year of education for 1 year of experience or 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.

For Example:
Related 1 year certificate PLUS a minimum 3 years of experience.
Related 2-year diploma PLUS a minimum 2 years of experience.
Related minimum 4 years of experience.

Traveling will consist of 10-20% of the work schedule.
