Job Description

Project Manager

SUMMARY

Simultaneously manage multiple projects from order acceptance through to project closeout. Represent HB Workplaces-Sprague Studios business interests on the job site ensuring a positive customer experience from start to finish.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Read interpret and understand detailed architectural construction plans including details plan schedules and associated specification documents specific to the integration of our construction solutions offered.
  2. Understand and use appropriate tools for jobsite measuring including rotary laser plumb and level laser 5point laser distance measuring laser and standard tape measure.
  3. Accurately record site specific jobsite measurements in a legible format for interpretation by the design team.
  4. Organize and submit orders in conjunction with the Designer.
  5. Understand the scope of work on site and know all the details of a project.
  6. Work in a team environment partnering with internal resources to ensure that all elements of a project are in sync and adhere to the cycle of service.
  7. Develop and manage the project installation schedule in coordination with the team and communicate that schedule milestones and tasks to all appropriate parties involved. Coordinate our schedule with the overall GC schedule and associated sub-trades.
  8. Manage and oversee installation process which includes working with HB Services (HBS) to create installation quotes printing installation drawings providing copies of installation drawings to HBS and coordinating installation schedule through HBS.
  9. Coordinate and manage preinstallation site visit; review all expectations for schedule and site access requirements.
  10. Appropriately interact with jobsite personnel including general contractors associated subtrades and our installation teams to foster positive interaction and desired outcomes.
  11. Manage submittals to the factory and schedule punch list items.
  12. Manage warranty submittal process for territory and troubleshoot furniture that needs minor repairs/adjustments.
  13. Participate in company meetings and training events.

QUALIFICATIONS

Extremely selfmotivated with the ability to work independently or with a team in a fastpaced environment. Strong time management capabilities with an ability to work under deadlines and time restraints. Strong problem solving skills; an ability to develop options and implement solutions in a positive capacity. Aptitude with technology and strong willingness to learn. Great communication skills both written and verbal. Strong organizational skills.

EDUCATION and /or EXPERIENCE

A Bachelor of Science degree in project management construction management or a technical diploma in engineering or architecture and three to five years of construction architectural commercial furniture and design or related experience is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Considerable use of arms legs and moving the whole body such as climbing lifting balancing and walking is required. The employee frequently is required to stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment will vary for office work versus work that takes place on a construction site. The physical office environment is consistent with most professional service organizations. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to frequently go on site to inspect a project and may be exposed to ongoing construction and various weather conditions. The noise level in this work environment may range from moderate to loud. This position is also performed in outside weather conditions and may require personal protective equipment (PPE).

Pay Range $75000 and up DOE
