Were looking for two Energy Emergency Management Officers to support readiness response and recovery for energy and utilities in all emergencies across NSW.
As part of our dynamic Energy Infrastructure team youll contribute to all-hazards emergency coordination across electricity gas liquid fuels water and wastewater. This includes participating in an on-call roster deploying emergency response measures and working closely with emergency services and industry partners to implement plans manage consequences and safeguard essential services.
About The Role
In this role youll support the operational readiness and emergency response capabilities of the Energy & Utility Services Functional Area (EUSFA) including participating in a 24/7 on-call roster as an Energy Emergency Management Duty Officer. Youll contribute to planning and preparedness activities coordinate incident response across critical utility sectors and deploy to emergency operations centres as a Liaison Officer.
Working closely with government emergency services and industry partners youll help implement response mechanisms support consequence management maintain key documentation and contribute to training and exercise programs that strengthen NSWs all-hazards energy emergency preparedness.
About You
Were looking for a proactive and resilient individual with experience across the emergency management lifecycle ideally with preparedness response and recovery. Knowledge of AIIMS and NSW emergency management arrangements is valuable.
With experience operating in high-pressure emergency environments and collaborating across agencies youll also have developing skills in planning risk identification and stakeholder engagement and a strong understanding of multi-agency coordination and operational procedures.
Ideally you will bring insights and perspective on how disruptions across electricity gas liquid fuels water and wastewater sectors affect critical services and community safety.
