About the role

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer your responsibility will be:

• Delivering project requirements according to agreed schedules consistent with Verbrec and clients quality standards
• Maintaining mechanical engineering standards across all projects
• Providing technical guidance to junior engineers and peers
• Recommending improvements to engineering systems and processes
• Continuously developing industry networks and contacts
• Working with our clients to help identify efficiency opportunities and reach decarbonisation (ESG) targets
• Having an opinion challenging the norm and providing constructive feedback wherever possible.

About you

You will be capable of working with a close-knit team of engineers designers and project engineers to deliver projects to an excellent standard. As a professional engineer you will offer:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in the design of oil gas and energy terminals or refining
• Proven Australian experience in oil and gas mining refining terminal tank farm or bulk fuel distribution
• A deep understanding of relevant design codes such as ASME B31.3 AS 4041 API 650 ASME VIII or AS 2885
• Experienced in pipe stress analysis (AutoPIPE or Caesar II)
• Site fabrication or construction experience is viewed positively but not essential
• CPEng / RPEQ or equivalent or near completion
• You are a great team player with the ability to work within or guide teams
• Ability to perform engineering tasks with minimal supervision
• A degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent writing skills including report development
• Ability to manage your time and work independently.
