Job Description
Hybrid Schedule Monday - Wednesday in office Thursday - Friday in office and F2F Interview is required
The Virginia Department of General Services has an opportunity for a part time Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) who will serve as a backup for the primary Oracle DBA and who will perform on call duties.
Minimum Qualifications
Strong DBA experience in working with Oracle 19c.
Must be familiar with 19c Oracle RAC
Must be familiar with Dataguard Physical Standby.
Must have experience with RMAN backup and recovery.
Other skills include export data pump and import data pump utilities Oracle Enterprise Manager and ASM (Automatic Storage Management) on Linux.
Must possess strong troubleshooting skills.
Must have strong communication skills verbally and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor s Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience supporting Linux or Unix System Administration a bonus.
Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification preferred.
Familiarity with SQL Server Required/Desired Skills
