Qualifications :
Mu ake About you
u wheako u mtauranga hoki - Qualifications and experience
- Bachelors degree in Statistics Bachelor of Computer Science or relevant tertiary education
- Preference for candidates with experience in the healthcare sector
- 5 years experience in a data leadership role
- Experience with statistical process analysis database tools (SQL) data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI) and programming languages (e.g. Python R)
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric an advantage
- An aptitude for process analysis
- An aptitude for maths numbers and ability to communicate data in common language

- A commitment and ability to recognise opportunities and support initiatives to increase equity for Mori tngata whai ora
- A commitment to the diverse cultures of our service users and the needs of priority populations in Aotearoa
- A strong awareness understanding and application of Te Tiriti O Waitangi
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge that includes advanced proficiency in Excel and Word and use of reporting toolsets databases and/or statistical analysis tools
- An intuition for data an ability to look at data and understand whether a report makes sense
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities adapt in high-pressure situations and maintain a strategic focus.
- Uses sound judgement
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities including effective listening relationship-building and sound judgement when making decisions.
- Flexible resilient and outcome-focused with a commitment to team wellbeing and a readiness to say no when required to uphold priorities.
