Hourly rates (excluding super):
Monday Friday: $24.95
Saturday: $31.19
Sunday: $37.43
Avani Melbourne Jazz Corner Residences is seeking reliable and hardworking Kitchen Attendants to join our this essential role youll support the smooth operation of our kitchen and food service areas by maintaining cleanliness hygiene and organisation behind the scenes.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic hospitality team in a premium Melbourne hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchen and back-of-house areas.
- Operate commercial dishwashers and ensure all kitchenware and utensils are clean and ready for use.
- Assist with basic food preparation and storage under supervision.
- Manage rubbish removal recycling and chemical handling safely and efficiently.
- Support stock deliveries and organise storage areas.
- Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications :
- Previous experience as a kitchen attendant or in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of hygiene food safety and workplace safety procedures.
- Positive attitude and team-oriented approach.
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks.
